Goad Maps are named after their creator Charles E. Goad who first produced maps for insurance purposes. These maps generally focus on retail focused areas and as such our Goad Map collection mostly covers Sunderland City Centre and are useful for identifying the locations of shops, public houses and so forth and provide an interesting insight into urban development.
