These are maps made by Great Britain’s national mapping agency. The collections includes major editions as well as revisions and most comprehensively covers the years 1855 – 1955 but there are also maps for later years. Most of the maps in this collection are at 1:1250 & 1:2500 scale but there are some 1:10,000 also. The collection concentrates on Sunderland District but there are many maps for the wider North East area.
